Zenarah is working to make Australia Heart Safe by raising awareness of how deadly Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is, and what communities can do to save more lives.
To that end, we have created the Heart Safe Environment Initiative.
The Heart Safe Environment initiative has a single mission - to dramatically reduce the number of Australians who die from SCA.
What is a Heart Safe Environment?
In simple terms, a Heart Safe Environment is one in which 70% + of SCA Victims survive.
A NON-Heart Safe Environment is one in which 90% + of SCA Victims die.
Our ultimate aim is to make surviving a Sudden Cardiac Arrest the norm – rather than the exception.
How do you create a Heart Safe Environment?

How do you create a Heart Safe Environment?
To be a recognised Heart Safe Environment, a designated area has all of these elements:
- An Automated External Defibrillator AED is onsite with the appropriate signage
- The AED is in a high traffic, highly visible area
- In locations with multiple floors or large areas, there are multiple Defibrillators
- There is an AED located within 90 seconds brisk walk from anywhere in the designated area.
- There is a documented AED Policy & Procedure readily available to all relevant personnel, employees or residents
- There is highly visible CPR signage
- For workplaces; at least 50% of employees have had CPR awareness training
- For workplaces; at least 50% of employees have had AED training
- AED drills are carried out every 6 months
Zenarah are looking for Ambassadors or Distributors
An Ambassador is for anyone and is someone who spreads the Heart Safe Environment message and who chooses to refer potential AED purchasers to us. When an Ambassador hears of or know of anyone looking to purchase a defibrillator, refer them to us or send us their details. When the client receives their defibrillator, we will send the Ambassador a $300 gift card to say thank you, or you can choose to pass this $300 on to your client.
Becoming a Mindray Ambassador &/or Affiliate means we together to raise awareness of the Heart Safe Environment Initiative, show the community how we can dramatically increase survivability rates by having more Defibs available and get more defibrillators into the community.
